Home › How We Report Our Work — No Star Scores, By Policy
This page is a statement of policy about how we talk about our own work. In an industry full of star ratings and impressive-sounding client counts, we have chosen to publish none of them — because a builder marking its own homework proves nothing, and because fabricated numbers are worse than no numbers.
What we do not publish
- No star scores or aggregated ratings. A rating a builder assigns to itself is meaningless.
- No fabricated client counts. We will not invent a number of “hulls delivered” to look larger.
- No borrowed credentials. We do not claim to represent a village, an association, a government body or UNESCO.
What we do stand on
Facts a third party can verify. Pinisi is inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (2017). Bulukumba is known as Butta Panrita Lopi, the Land of the Master Shipwrights. Tanjung Bira lies about 12 km from the Ara and Tana Lemo building beaches. These are checkable; a self-assigned five stars is not.
How we quote and contract
USD quotations are issued after a written specification, not before — because an honest number needs an honest spec behind it. Build contracts are issued by PT Komodo Galangan Nusantara. Client builds are kept confidential unless an owner chooses to be named; a yard should not trade on its clients’ privacy.
Why this matters for you
If a builder is honest about what it will not claim, you can trust what it does claim. When you commission a phinisi, you will get dated build evidence, verifiable milestones and a documented sea trial — the real record of your own vessel, which is the only record that matters.
Construction, new-build and refit contracts are issued by PT Komodo Galangan Nusantara. Part of Juara Holding Group.
